Splitting is the easy part.
Getting paid back isn’t.

Quittes splits your group expenses and goes all the way to the transfer. Offline, in any currency.

A split, worked out right here

3 people
  • Léa+1 cent€3.34
  • Marc€3.33
  • Ana€3.33
Shares add up to€10.00

This runs in your browser, on the app’s own code. The leftover cent moves to someone else on every expense.

Every one of them stops at "Marc owes you 47.20".

Then nobody pays. The balance sits there for months, the group goes quiet, and the app gets deleted. Working out the debt was never the problem. Settling it always was.

Works on the plane. Actually.

Your expenses live on your phone, not on a server. Enter them with no signal, the screen answers instantly, and everything syncs when you land.

  • Two people can enter expenses offline without creating duplicates
  • The app also loads offline, not just once it is already open
  • An expense is saved before it ever reaches the network

Four things the others get wrong.

Paying back in one move

Whoever is owed shows a SEPA transfer code. The other scans it with their banking app, and the amount is already filled in.

Exchange rates, frozen

A beer paid 8 SGD on 3 August is worth what it was worth on 3 August, even if the rate moves during the trip.

The receipt, line by line

Photograph the bill. Everyone pays for what they had, not for an average.

Who changed what

"I am fairly sure it was 60, not 65." The history answers, dated and signed. No competitor shows you this.

  • Léa edited the amount

    Tuesday at 14:32

  • Marc added this expense

    Tuesday at 12:08

  • Pizza margherita€12.50
  • Vinho verde€24.00
  • Coffee€3.00

What each of them owes

Marc€16.17
Léa€19.17
Ana€4.16

Tap a name to add or remove it from a line. This is the app’s own calculation.

This is the one feature in Quittes that costs money, because it costs us money every time it runs. Everything else is free and account free. See the subscription

Two ways to settle. You choose.

By default, everyone pays back the people they actually shared with. You can also ask for the fewest transfers, knowing what that means.

Elsewhere, that simplification is forced on you. You end up sending 40 to someone you shared nothing with, and nobody understands the number any more.

The questions you are already asking.

No account, really?

A link is enough to join a group. No signup, no password, nothing to install. In exchange, anyone holding the link can see the group, and the screen tells you so at the moment you share it.

Where is my data?

On your device first. The server only stacks and redistributes what people enter, so the group finds it again. It computes no balance, so it cannot disagree with you.

What does it cost?

Nothing for now. Quittes is being built, and we will not charge before we have earned it.

The next trip counts itself.
